A 54-year-old Italian worker died at
Carinaro near Caserta Wednesday after the roof of the factory he
was installing solar panels on fell in and plunged him over 10
metres to his death.
The man, Domenico Pierbenansi, originally from Frattamaggiore
near Naples, is believed to have died instantly.
He is the latest in a long string of fatal workplace accidents
in Italy.
Five men died after inhaling toxic gas in a sewer network near
Palermo earlier this week, and seven died in a hydro power plant
blast near Bologna last month.
