There is no right to suppress life,
the Vatican told France Monday as the French parliament was set
for a final vote on enshrining abortion among its Constitutional
rights.
The Pontifical Academy for Life reiterated that "precisely in
the era of universal human rights, there can be no right to
suppress a human life".
This was stated in a note by the Vatican regarding the inclusion
in the French Constitution of the guarantee of freedom for women
to have recourse to abortion, in a special joint session of the
French parliament set for later Monday.
